- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice or white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder slightly extra for stronger flavor
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried dill weed or 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried chives optional but recommended
- ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 4-8 tbsp milk or buttermilk to thin to desired consistency
Carefully measure all ingredients. Add to mixing bowl
Whisk or stir until combined well.
For best results, allow the dressing to rest int eh fridge for 30 minutes to absorb all the flavors.
Taste & Adjust
After chilling, taste and adjust if needed:
- More garlicky spice → add a pinch more garlic powder
- More tang → add a splash of lemon juice
- More salt → just a pinch at a time
