Variations and Add-ins
- This recipe would be delicious with a splash of lemon or lime juice. If you’ve got one lying around, go ahead and squeeze the fresh juice in while blending.
- Add some protein powder to make it a hearty snack.
for a rich, decadent dessert, use heavy cream instead of water- it will be velvety smooth and luxurious. - Add a packet or two of your favorite electrolyte powder. We only had these two when I tested this recipe, and neither flavor suited strawberry kiwi popsicles, but I would have added some if I had a complementary flavor.
- Electrolytes would make a great addition, especially for sneaking in some summertime hydration:

Substitutions
This recipe doesn’t really allow for substitutions. A kiwi is a kiwi, and nothing is particularly close to the flavor. A strawberry is hard to replace too. You could opt for frozen instead of fresh, and that would even help your popsicles freeze faster. Other that choosing frozen strawberries, I’m not sure if there is any other substitute. I suppose if you don’t have strawberry jam, you could just add sugar, honey or maple syrup. Sweetener options are usually versatile. The fruit should cover up any difference in taste.

How to store Strawberry Kiwi Slush Popsicles
I don’t usually have to store these very long- just a few days at a time. Obviously they have to remain frozen, so keep them in the freezer. If you’re wanting to set them out to serve them, create a cute little display by filling la tray or casserole dish with ice. Then, lay the popsicles over the top of the ice. If you really want to make it beautiful, slice a strawberry or lime to decorate the tray.
