Cooking From Scratch – Do you have questions about sourdough starters, fresh-milled wheat, or scratch recipes that fit your family’s lifestyle? I love hearing what’s cooking in kitchens from New England to California. Our maybe you want to share a photo of one of my recipes that you made- send it over!
Sewing Tutorials & Patterns – Whether you sew at the kitchen table in a farmhouse, or in a city apartment, sewing brings people together. When I learned to sew, there weren’t many resources available and I learned a lot of things the hard way. Don’t be afraid to ask questions- I’ll be glad to share what I’ve learned. If you’ve tried one of my patterns, let me know how it went!
Homeschool Resources – Families across the country are creating their own paths in education. If you’d like encouragement, resources, or conversation about homeschooling, I’d love to help.

Where are you located?

I’m based in the United States and connect with readers across the country—small towns, suburbs, and big cities—plus friends abroad. Everything here is written so it works wherever you live.

Do you only write about sourdough?

Sourdough and fresh-milled flour are favorites, but I also share cooking-from-scratch recipes, sewing patterns and tutorials, hope chest ideas, homeschool resources, and posts about missionaries, church planting, and deputation.

Can I request a tutorial or recipe?

Yes! Many popular posts started as reader requests. If you’d like a specific recipe, a sourdough troubleshooting guide for fresh-milled wheat, a sewing walkthrough, or a homeschool printable, send me a note.

Do you work with people outside the U.S.?

Absolutely. While most readers are in the States, plain-living skills—like bread baking, scratch cooking, and sewing—translate anywhere. I love hearing from neighbors in Canada, Europe, and beyond.

How quickly will I get a response?

I aim to reply within a few days. Homeschool and family life can stretch the timeline, but I do read every message and try to answer personally.
