✈️ Missions Testimony: Chloe´
🌍 Trip Overview
Where they went: Papua New Guinea
When: July 2023
“My husband preached a revival, and several village meetings, and he preached in the markets and we witnessed and passed out tracts. We held discipleship classes for those in the villages that wanted to attend”
🙌 A Moment That Left a Mark
When we first got tho the marker, an outdoor area where people sold their wares, I noticed a woman buying only one to two diapers for her baby. Other people seemed to buying for one meal or snack at a time. It was a hot day and a local gentleman brought one of the few chairs in the market for me to sit in.
When we got off the airplane, it was late at night. The flights had been delayed and the church people were standing outside of the airport waiting on us at about 10pm with leis and signs and signing with the touch of God. They were thanking us for coming to their country with the Gospel. The people were so very kind, they went out of their way to show their appreciation.
🔥 Faith-Stretching Lessons
Everyone was so eager to have the Gospel, people in the villages would just come up to you wanting them. The hardest part for me was the “mattress”. We slept on a box spring the first week, not having hot water or AC, it’s not really all that bad but is is a lot of little things that can cause the flesh some aggravation, we are definitely use to those luxuries in America.
💬 Words for Future Missionaries
Take advantage of any opportunity you have to go! Even if a trip isn’t scheduled for you right now, save up and prepare anyway. you never know when the opportunity will arise.
💗 Missions Beyond the Trip
Seeing the people and the need really burdens you for laborers. I’m involved with Who Will Go missions training and go on trips when we are able.
